Senate Receives Reports of Auditor General, 2016 Budget, 2016 – 2018 MTEF
The plenary session of the Senate on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 witnessed the laying of three reports before the Hallowed Chamber.
The session was however suspended to the next legislative date in honour of late Hon. Musa Baba Onwana who represented Nasarawa / Toto of Nasarawa State in the House of Representatives before his death on Thursday, March 17, 2016.
The reports laid before the Senate include:
1) Annual Report of the Auditor-General for the Federation on the Accounts of the Federation of Nigeria for the year which ended on 31st December, 2014 in accordance with Section 85 (2) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 as amended. The Report was laid before the Chamber by Senate Leader, Muhammed Ali Ndume (Borno South).
2) The Report of Conference Committee on MTEF on the 2016, 2017 and 2018 Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) and Fiscal Strategy Paper (FSP). The Report was laid before the Red Chamber by Sen. John Owan Enoh (Cross River Central).
3) Report of the Committee on Appropriations on the 2016 Appropriation Bill (S.B. 212). The Report was laid before the Hallowed Chamber by the Committee Chairman, Sen. Danjuma Goje (Bauchi Central).
