HOUSE WRAPS UP DEBATE ON THE 2016 APPROPRIATION BILL
The House of Representatives has on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 concluded debate on the general principles of the 2016 Appropriation Bill; the Chamber devoted the Tuesday's plenary session to summarize arguments being canvassed by the Lawmakers regarding the desirability and realization of the 2016 budget estimate before the National Assembly. The Bill, after the second reading was referred to the outstanding Committees for further scrutiny and legislative input.
Still on the 2016 budget, the leadership of the House is slated to have a meeting with outstanding Committees’ Chairmen and their deputies to discuss extensively on the budget. The Speaker of the House announced that the meeting will hold within the National Assembly complex on Wednesday, January 27, 2016.
