During the session, the Speaker directed the Clerk to the National Assembly to duly notify the Office of the Secretary to the Federation and indeed the Presidency that the House has been duly constituted and formed a quorum, consequently is now ready to receive communications.

The session proceeded with a motion which came under the purview of “matters of urgent public importance bordering on a devastating gully erosion, said to be threatening an entire community in Abia state. Before passing the motion, members including Hon. Kingsley Chinda, Onyejeocha Nkiruka , Ndudi Elumelu all amended the prayers of the motion to add that erosion sites in their respective States and constituencies be also captured.

The Chamber thereafter set up three ad hoc Committees to liaise with National Assembly Management in allotting offices to the members and then adjourned plenary to reconvene on July 2, 2019.
